Note oversized framing, added hardware and related due to location in Coastal Velocity zone.
New structures are built to withstand 110 mph winds with driven projectiles and 100 year
tidal surges for Coastal Massachusetts.
The cable railing system is an adaptation of boat or yacht stays for on land deck safety railings
per the local building Codes.
Since the Recession has affected pleasure boating and boating equipment, the manufacturer
had the idea for using the same equipment for decking or stairway safety railing.
We got the cables and attachment Specs accepted by Current Building from the Commonwealth,
and thereby created a new market for boating cable systems.
As a businessman, I admire the manufacturer's ingenuity, and as a builder I find the cable system
an excellent substitute for the wooden rails and ballisters that are commonly used for exterior
deck safety requirements.
Also, most importantly, the cable system allows for better distance views
